The Ginza, Tokyo

Mount Fuji, 100km SW of Tokyo

  • Mount Fuji is an active volcano- and technically is three separate volcanoes placed on top of each other.
  • Mount Fuji has a very unique and distinctive cone shape and has influenced Japanese cultural and inspiried Japanese artists, poets and music.
  • The climbing season is very short and goes from the beginning of July to the last week of August.

Tokyo Disney Resort, Urayasu, Chiba 

  • Tokyo Disney Resort consists of two parks, Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo Disney Sea, and is owned and operated by the Oriental Land Company with a license from The Walt Disney
  • Prices for a one day passport are:  ¥4,800 = $57.38 CAD for a child. ¥6,400 = $76.51 CAD for a junior. ¥7,400 = $88.47 CAD for an adult.

Nakameguro, Tokyo 

  • Most famous spot for viewing its beautiful cherry blossom tunnel.
  • The neighborhood is also known for its nightlife - bars and 'izakaya' or pubs that are frequented by local residents. 

Moreru Mignon,
located on the 7th floor of Shibuya 109, Tokyo

  • Moreru Mignon is a 'purikura' or photo booth shop. It has several photo shooting room next to all the photo booths
  • This shop is geared towards woman and has pretty strict rules and don't allow single men to enter the space but couples and families are welcomed. They're open from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

NamjaTown, Tokyo

  • Indoor theme park with arcade games, haunted attractions, escape rooms.
  • Prices to enter are ¥500 = $5.98 CAD for adults and ¥300 = $3.59 CAD for children.


Kamakura Daibutsu (the Great Buddha), in Kamakura, Kanagawa

  • located on the grounds of Kotokuin Temple
  • The statue is 13 meters high and more than 750 years old 

Meiji Shrine, in Shibuya, Tokyo

  • This is a Shinto shrine that is dedicated to the deified spirits of Emperor Meiji and his wife, Empress Shōken. 
  • Meiji Shrine is very close by the big Yoyogi Park that provides some of Tokyo's best people-watching.

Genbaku Dome, Hiroshima 

  • Genbaku Dome was the only structure left standing in the area where the first atomic bomb exploded on August 6, 1945 
  • Designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996 


Takeshita Street, Harajuku, Tokyo 

  • Shopping area to buy modern and weird Japanese clothing and accessories
  • This neighbourhood and street is the birthplace of cosplay and is very much known for it.
